Produced and continuously improved in the years 1949-1990, the Citroen 2CV has become an icon of the French automotive industry. The car was designed before WWII. Its creation is associated with the need to produce a simple and cheap car for the masses, in line with the slogan of the company director Pierre Boulanger, quatre roues sous un parapluie (four wheels under an umbrella). The car was simple, economical and allowed for the comfortable transport of 4 people with luggage.
