Point de vue conception, le cylindre détient 7 transferts d'admission et un échappement à boosters. Son alésage est de 47,6mm et il dispose d’un revêtement thermique en nickasil. La culasse est quant à elle traitée thermiquement et assure un excellent refroidissement de la chambre de combustion. Elle est autocentrée dans le cylindre.

Ce cylindre étant une version Racing, vous devrez impérativement équiper votre moteur avec des composants Racing comme un carburateur de 24mm minimum, un embrayage renforcé ainsi qu'un vilebrequin renforcé en course et bielle standard.
